£2 bus fares across England for all of 2027, says Burnham

Andy Burnham told Labour's conference that from January, a single bus journey anywhere in England will cost no more than £2 for the whole of 2027. He called it a sign of intent to bring bills and fares down while bigger changes come, joking he could not give a speech without mentioning buses. He said he would stick to the fiscal rules.
