1.6m Britons use weight-loss jabs; Whitty warns muscle loss risk.
Approximately 1.6 million adults in Britain received weight-loss injections last year. England's Chief Medical Officer, Professor Sir Chris Whitty, said this is important to protect muscle mass as people lose weight on GLP-1 medication. He further stated that revised physical activity recommendations now highlight the importance of core and muscle-strengthening activities for all individuals.
