£1.13bn pledged for Sudan aid in Berlin
Two-thirds of Sudan's population, 34 million people, urgently need help amidst the world's largest humanitarian crisis. International donors at a Berlin conference on Wednesday pledged £1.13bn, surpassing the funding target set by organisers. The country still faces a vast funding gap, with only 16% of its £2.1bn humanitarian needs funded so far this year.
