Central London residents lose High Court challenge to new Chinese embassy
Residents in central London lost their High Court challenge on Friday against the government's decision to approve a new Chinese super-embassy. The Royal Mint Court Residents' Association immediately announced plans to appeal the decision. The new diplomatic complex, bought for £255 million in 2018, would be Beijing's biggest in Europe.
