UK petrol price rises to Iran war high of 160p a litre

Petrol prices at UK forecourts have reached a new high of 160p a litre, just as many households are starting their summer holidays. The 160p price reverses the fall seen in early July and is the highest recorded since November 2022. The RAC says the cost to fill a family car with unleaded petrol has now increased to £88.
