An international climbing team, headed by Nepal-born former Royal Marine Nirmal Purja, is believed to have disappeared following an avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak on Thursday. Pakistani mountaineering officials said the avalanche struck the 8,047-metre mountain around midday, with no contact since. The 10-member group includes climbers from America, China, Oman, and five Nepalis.
