Hundreds evacuated as Suffolk wildfire spreads, half of England in drought
A large wildfire on Dunwich Heath, Suffolk, led to hundreds of holidaymakers being evacuated from a holiday park and nearby properties on Wednesday evening. Around 90 firefighters are still tackling the wind-driven blaze, which now covers an area equivalent to 14 football pitches. Half of England, including London, has been declared in drought after weeks of hot, dry weather and record-low rainfall.
