Prime Minister Andy Burnham is considering a ban on disposable barbecues to help prevent further wildfires during the ongoing extreme heat. Later on Wednesday, he is due to preside over an emergency Cobra committee meeting, convened because of the extended period of hot, dry weather. Burnham noted that many recent wildfires, including one in the New Forest, have been caused by disposable barbecues.
