Ex-Labour candidate jailed for faking degrees for NHS jobs
Amran Hussain, 40, received a four-year prison sentence on Tuesday after using fraudulent degrees to secure 13 high-level NHS positions over an eight-year period. He took 1,332 sick days, costing taxpayers about £168,000, before his deception was uncovered in 2021. Hussain also falsely claimed in court to have served two British Army tours, when he was only a reservist.
