Uber buys Delivery Hero for $14.8 billion
The acquisition brings together two of the world's largest food delivery platforms, expanding Uber's reach to 99 markets. Delivery Hero's management and supervisory boards intend to back the offer, which values the German company at $14.8 billion. Uber, already Delivery Hero's biggest shareholder, will pay 41.50 euros per share in cash and invest 2 billion euros in Germany.
