TikTok starts alcohol sales trial with three separate age checks
TikTok says buyers will face checks on their account, at checkout and again when alcohol is delivered by approved couriers. The company is testing sales with a small group of licensed drinks firms and only a limited range of products. Regular TikTok Shop sellers can't sell alcohol for now, while Ofcom is investigating the platform's child safety measures.
