Small boat crossings continue for second day in warm weather
Migrants reached the UK on Thursday, marking the second day of Channel crossings since Andy Burnham assumed the role of Prime Minister. On Wednesday, 172 individuals completed the voyage in three boats, bringing an end to an 11-day pause in crossings. Home Office figures show 12,641 arrivals this year, a 46% drop from last year.
