Samsung reports record profit from AI chip demand.
Samsung announced a record operating profit of 89.2 trillion won in the second quarter, almost entirely due to strong demand for memory chips used in AI data centres. This boom in AI infrastructure spending is also benefiting other major memory suppliers like SK hynix and Micron Technology, who have reported similar record results.
