Northern Ireland sees mixed AI impact: some jobs grow, others at risk
While some Northern Ireland firms are booming by supplying infrastructure for AI, other professional support jobs are under threat. US legal firm Baker McKenzie is reviewing its global operations using AI, putting about 50 jobs at risk in Belfast. Rapid7, a US cybersecurity company, is also cutting around 12% of its global roles to redirect resources to its AI platform.
