Ex-Disney boss Bob Iger and Josh Kushner buy LA Lakers for £9bn
The $12 billion valuation makes the basketball team the most valuable franchise in the NBA, overtaking the Golden State Warriors. The duo are purchasing the Californian side from Chelsea co-owner Mark Walter, who spent £7.4 billion on the franchise last October. League officials still have to approve the agreement, and it is not yet known if the Buss family sold its remaining 15% share.
