Paramount pauses its $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros until next June
The holdup could cost Paramount up to $1.7 billion in late fees if the buyout misses a September deadline. A group of 12 US states went to court on 13 July to block the takeover, arguing the combined entertainment giant would push up film and television prices. Shares in the company dropped 3.3% on Friday, leaving them down 37% for the year.
