Cairngorms wildfire forces Nethy Bridge evacuation as winds shift
Police Scotland declared a major incident after a wildfire, burning for 10 days in the Cairngorms National Park, increased its risk of spreading towards Nethy Bridge. All residents of the village have been evacuated as a precaution due to a significant change in weather conditions. More than 100 firefighters are working to extinguish the fire, which started last Wednesday near Ryvoan Bothy.
