Asthma inhalers with 90% lower carbon footprint approved for UK use
The MHRA, the UK’s medicines regulator, has approved new versions of Clenil Modulite asthma inhalers that use a different propellant while keeping the same active ingredient and recommended doses. The updated inhalers are due to reach the UK in 2026 and are expected to reduce their carbon footprint by up to 90%. People can continue using the current inhalers until the new versions become available.
