Overnight tremor rattles homes near Ben Nevis
A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck near Spean Bridge in the Scottish Highlands at 3:09am Tuesday, the British Geological Survey said. Residents in Roybridge, Inverlair and Fort William reported a deep rumble lasting five seconds, felt up to 20 kilometres away. No damage or injuries were reported, and it was the strongest local quake since a 2.7 magnitude tremor in April 2023.
