Dutch parent company begins Raleigh insolvency proceedings
Dutch company Accell, which has owned Raleigh since 2012, filed notice of intent to appoint administrators for its UK and Ireland arm on Thursday. The 139 year old Nottingham founded brand no longer makes bikes locally and had shifted to selling electric models under Accell's ownership. Chief executive Jonas Nilsson said the firm explored every option but could not keep operations running.
