Plastination inventor Gunther von Hagens, Body Worlds creator, has died
Gunther von Hagens, the German anatomist who invented plastination for preserving bodies, died on 24 July in Heidelberg aged 81. His family and the Institute for Plastination announced his death. He created the Body Worlds exhibitions, which have drawn over 58 million visitors worldwide since 1995.
