Brighton Pride to get armed officers after Berlin killing
Sussex Police will deploy armed and plainclothes officers at Brighton Pride this weekend, expected to draw 500,000 people. Saturday's van and stabbing attack at Berlin Pride killed one person and injured 29, after police shot dead suspect Abdul Ballout. Council leader Bella Sankey said the city stands with the LGBTQ+ community and is working with partners on safety.
