Brock Whiston breaks record to win Commonwealth gold

Brock Whiston won gold in the women's 100m breaststroke SB8 final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday, setting a new Games record of one minute 22.05 seconds. The 29 year old, a 2024 Paralympic champion, finished more than four seconds clear of Uganda's Husnah Kukundakwe in silver. Fifteen year old Iona Winnifrith took bronze as England claimed five swimming medals on the day.
