King Charles plants new rose to start Scottish break
King Charles commenced his summer break in Scotland, marking the occasion by planting a new rose for the monarchy at the Castle and Gardens of Mey in Caithness. The King's Rose was grown by David Austin Roses with The King's Foundation and is also planted at other sites. Charles visits the castle every year in August, a tradition continued from his grandmother, the Queen Mother.
