Rewilding project in Skipton brings back all five British owl species
Wildlife is returning quickly to Broughton Sanctuary near Skipton, thanks to a rewilding scheme that started in 2021. The Nature Recovery team planted over 340,000 native trees and restored wetlands across 2,500 acres. The rewilding scheme has brought back species like beavers and Iron-Age pigs, plus all five types of British owl.
