EU fines Google £760m for breaking online competition rules on search and apps
The penalty includes €460m for burying rival shopping and hotel results, and €430m for stopping developers from linking to cheaper app offers. The European Commission, the EU's executive branch, made the ruling on Thursday under its digital competition laws. Google has already started testing changes to comply with the order, though the company can still appeal against the decision.
