Centrica cutting 1,300 jobs over two years in company restructure
British Gas owner Centrica plans to cut about 1,300 jobs over the next two years as part of a restructure of its customer services and support teams. The job cuts include 800 new reductions on top of 500 announced last month, mainly affecting contact-based roles. Centrica says around 90% of customers now use digital support, leading to a sharp fall in direct contact.
