Government borrowed £16 billion last month
The UK government borrowed £16 billion last month, £7.9 billion less than June last year. June's £16 billion figure was also slightly below the £16.3 billion forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility. Total debt remains near £3 trillion, a sum almost equivalent to the UK's entire annual economic output.
