Pentagon blocks F-35 review, ending 20-year oversight run
The decision stopped the US government’s main watchdog from carrying out its yearly check of the fighter jet programme, ending a run that had lasted for more than two decades. The South China Morning Post said the Pentagon refused access to information needed for the review. The F-35 is the Pentagon’s biggest weapons programme and has faced years of delays and rising costs.
