Greenwich and Kent universities merge to create huge new institution
Britain's first super-university will open on 7 September with more than 50,000 students across four campuses. Prof Jane Harrington, the new chief executive, said the merger followed a year of hard work to create a unique model. Both institutions will keep their individual names and identities while operating under a single group.
