UK datacentre plans lack water, industry warns MPs
Britain's water industry says government plans for AI growth don't account for the huge amount of water datacentres need for cooling. Water UK, a trade body, told MPs that official water forecasts are "fatally flawed" and exclude datacentres. Datacentres use 6.6m litres of drinking water daily, potentially rising to 19.8m litres a day by 2030.
