£232m of cocaine found hidden in Essex banana shipment
Nearly three tonnes of cocaine with a street value of £232 million was discovered in a South American banana shipment. Border Force officers, tipped off by the National Crime Agency, seized the drugs after they were delivered to a Hertfordshire address. Nine men allegedly linked to the bust were arrested and later released on bail.
