UK MP proposes immigration ban on Pakistan and four other countries
Great Yarmouth MP Rupert Lowe has proposed banning immigration from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea as part of his Restore Britain party's "Red List" policy. The party says migrants from these countries are linked to disproportionately high crime rates in the UK. The proposal was announced on 14 August, Pakistan's 79th Independence Day.
