Amazon shares jump as revenue climbs 20% in quarter
Amazon's quarterly revenue rose to $200.6 billion, with its cloud computing division, AWS, seeing its fastest growth in 18 quarters. AWS sales increased by 37%, and its operating income climbed to $16.6 billion. The company recorded a net income of $62.6 billion, primarily boosted by a $53.4 billion pre-tax profit on investments, chiefly in Anthropic.
