Labour membership drops 20%; Greens close within 34,000
Official accounts reveal Labour finished 2025 with 264,754 people on its books, falling from 333,235 the previous year. The Green party claimed in May that it had reached 230,000 supporters, putting the group just 34,000 people behind Labour. A spokesperson noted that their numbers quadrupled during the 12 months following Zack Polanski's appointment as leader.
