August sees most drink-drive crashes, RAC warns
New data shows August has more drink-drive collisions than any other month, with summer socialising creating more opportunities. The RAC's analysis determined that an average of 721 individuals sustained fatal or non-fatal injuries in August drink-drive collisions from 2014 to 2024. August's 721 casualties are higher than July's 704 and December's 663, despite December often being linked with drink-driving.
