Single-sex spaces should now be based on biological sex, new rules say
Official guidance now declares that single-sex public facilities, including toilets and changing rooms, are to be designated for individuals of the same biological sex. The Equality and Human Rights Commission, the equality watchdog, published the code, which applies in England, Wales, and Scotland. Transgender people are advised to use gender-neutral facilities or those aligning with their biological sex.
