Jellycat accuses Next and Hamleys of copying toys in High Court case
Jellycat says it wants substantial damages and court orders stopping the retailers from selling products it claims are too similar to its own designs. The soft toy company says its Amuseables range has sold more than 11 million units in the UK and is distinctive to customers. Next denies wrongdoing, says its biscuit-shaped items are cushions and doorstops rather than toys, and says customers won't be misled, while Hamleys has not yet filed a defence.
