Burnham speeds up ban on subscription traps from January

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is bringing forward plans to make it easier for people to cancel unwanted subscriptions, aiming to help with the cost of living. The changes, which were expected next spring, will now be in place by January 2027 and will also stop shops using fake "was" prices. The government estimates these measures could save consumers about £400 million a year in total.
