Coca-Cola revenue rises 6% as World Cup drinks breaks push up sales

The drinks giant saw its second-quarter revenue jump by about 6% to $13.37 billion, easily beating market expectations. Finance chief John Murphy said the frequent pauses in football matches helped push up sales for its Powerade brand. The strong results drove the company's share price to a record high of $90.13 on Tuesday, despite higher aluminium costs caused by the war in Iran.
