Visa launches new platform for stablecoin payments to 200 million merchants

Visa, a major payment processor, has created a new internal system to help banks and fintechs use stablecoins within their existing payment workflows. The platform will simplify stablecoin transactions for its network of approximately 15,000 financial institutions and more than 200 million merchants. The service aims to simplify stablecoin use, starting with OUSD, a new stablecoin from the Open Standard consortium.
