A woman wants to revive Britain's love for the forgotten medlar fruit
Once as common as apples, the ancient medlar fruit vanished from British diets by the late 1950s, partly due to its brown colour. Jane Steward, from Norfolk, now grows medlars in her orchard and gives talks to reintroduce the fruit. She has even released a book about cooking and growing the unusual fruit.
