AliExpress fined €550m by EU for selling illegal goods
The EU has issued its largest fine yet under the Digital Services Act to AliExpress for failing to stop illegal products being sold on its platform. The European Commission found the Chinese retailer didn't have enough staff to check product legality and promoted many illegal items through its recommendation systems.
