Greenland warns Trump-linked oil firm over unapproved drilling prep
An American oil company with ties to Donald Trump has started bringing drilling equipment ashore in Greenland without official permission. Greenland's government issued a "strong warning" after materials for oil exploration were unloaded on the eastern coast. The Texas-based company, Greenland Energy, plans to drill for an estimated $1tn of crude, despite Greenland stopping new oil licences in 2021.
