Brazil's ambassador to Washington, Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, has had her US visa cancelled. The reciprocal action follows Brazil's denial of visas to two US diplomats last month. Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva accused US officials of wanting to "meddle" in Brazil's elections, an allegation the US called "baseless".
